A Canopy Tour allows family members of all ages to safely pass from tree to tree, via rope and cable, high above the forest floor.

The canopy tour is an unique tour in an area renowned for its untouched primary jungles, wildlife viewing and scuba diving. Now, you may view nature from the highest level of the rain forest and discover its rich diversity of wildlife.

Our canopy tour location features 9 platforms, 6 traverse cables, with one spanning over 300 feet (100 meters), a 65 foot (21 meter) high observation bridge at the edge of a picturesque river bend.

Discover the lush primary rain forest of this area from a viewpoint previously available only to a select few researchers and photographers.

Useful facts and Information:

Safety: Guest safety is our number one priority. The Original Canopy Tour was the first company in Costa Rica to develop this kind of system for use in tourist applications and has a safety record second to none!  We purchase and  use only the finest gear available including Petzl and PMI.  Some of the rope used  in our system was specially designed for The Original Canopy Tour.  Know before you go, don’t leave your safety and fun to chance.

Average tour length: 2-3 hours

Wildlife Potential: Countless species of birds, white face and howler monkeys frequent the area.

Age Limits: Really there are no limitations.  Former President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, well into his 70’s, completed an Original Canopy Tour  in 2000.  Children of all ages can participate as long as they can fit safely into the equipment offered.
